Slite uses a pooled credit system for Slite Agent features, including automated maintenance, cross-tool search, doc updates, and digests. Simple questions cost very little, while complex multi-step workflows consume more.
This page explains what credits are, what they cost, and how they're consumed.
What's included with each plan
The Slite Agent is included on Pro and Enterprise plans. Included credits are pooled across the workspace and reset on your billing cycle date each month.
Basic
Not included (Slite Agent not available)
Pro
50 credits per seat / month
Enterprise
50 credits per seat / month (minimum; customisable per org)
The usage of our simple "Ask" AI search included in the
basic plan is not tracked through credits as of ; it has its own separate question allowance (30 questions per seat/month on Basic, higher on Pro and Enterprise). Inline AI writing, translation, and grammar tools do not consume credits.]
What a request costs
The cost of a request depends on the AI work involved behind the scenes. Based on internal benchmark measurements, here are typical costs across common tasks*:
Find specific information
0.7 credits
“What happens when the allowance gets exhausted as a user asks a new query?”
Digests
3.8 credits
Daily highlights to weekly multi-source recap
Search across many tools
1.4 credits
“Summarise last week’s customer conversations across Attio and Zendesk”
Edit a document
0.4 credits
“Reorganise this section, preserving its commitments”
Research & edit
1.5–3.2 credits
“Find all related support questions and improve this help page”
Thorough investigation
2.7–5.3 credits
“Find the most recurring customer issues with fixes planned, and for each size the priority and give me a brief on current status of the project”
*These figures reflect measured benchmark runs. Narrow questions cost less, while reading long documents, adding more steps, multi-tool searches, or deeper reasoning consume more credits. When we make the Agent engine more efficient, the same work costs fewer credits.
What happens when you run out
When your workspace reaches zero credits, you cannot start a new Agent task. Any task already running is allowed to finish — if it costs more than your remaining balance, Slite absorbs the difference. The Agent resumes as soon as your monthly allowance resets on your billing cycle date, or immediately upon purchasing a top-up. Your docs, editing, comments, and search keep working as normal.
Credit consumption order
When using the Agent, your workspace draws from your monthly included allowance first. Once included credits are exhausted, the system draws from purchased top-ups in FIFO order (the package expiring soonest is used first).
Top-up credits
Organizations can purchase additional credit packages at any time from the Billing Page (starting at $10 for 100 credits, with quantity adjustable at checkout).
Top-up credits expire after 1 year and do not reset at month-end — they remain available in your workspace until consumed or expired.
Managing credits (admins)
Workspace admins and billing admins can review credit usage in workspace settings (
AI Usage), including total credits consumed, a per-user breakdown with feature breakdown bars, custom date range filtering, and a CSV export of credit debit events.
